Description
JAGO
“Under the Venus” is the title of this exclusive limited edition print created specifically for the launch of JAGO. THE EXHIBITION catalogue.
Printed on baryta paper and produced in 150 copies, the work, signed and numbered by both the artist and the photographer, is taken from an original shot by Dirk Vogel and represents the artist in complete symbiosis with his creation. The work, sold with the catalog, is a one-of-a-kind collector’s item.
As Maria Teresa Benedetti writes, “the image of Venus is deprived of youth and all her seductive aesthetics. […] tIt is important to respect the signs of time, supporters of truth, in a body which doesn’t totally give up its grace”.

JAGO
Born in 1987, Jacopo Cardillo, known pseudonymously as Jago, is a skilful sculptor with roots in some of the exemplary techniques of our past, and is universally known as “The Social Artist” for his innate communication skills and the great success he has achieved on social media. Jago directly reaches the hearts of the public who love him. In his works, he also uses tragic elements in a constant play of references, with a vision always aimed at the issues of the present, provocatively triggering the viewers’ reflection on the status of our times.
