Io Sono Persona Drago Publisher | “They call them migrants, nobody wants them,” writes Francesco Radino, presenting his images for this show. He continues with a question that all of us have in common: “But what Europe is this, that after having taken the monopoly to take her empires, today rejects to address the poisonous consequences of her actions? They try to stop the wind with their hands as an unstoppable human being knocks at the door of our conscience, preventing us from looking away.”

The postulations by one of the most prominent Italian photographers is certainly shared by all those who wanted to participate in this collective initiative, which marks the inauguration of the International Photography Centre in Palermo. For each of them migration is something personal. For each of them to tackle the issue of migration is a civil and ethical commitment from which they cannot and do not want to escape. Drago presents the catalogue of the exhibition “I Am Person” at the International Photography Centre, Palermo.
