- “From photojournalism to art photography” will reflect upon the evolution of photography from being a fundamental part of newspapers to becoming an art form in its own right Letizia Battaglia’s graphic, authentic photos were originally intended for journalistic and social criticism purposes. Soon they became recognised as pieces of fine art. Following the shift in reception of her work, Battaglia’s experience offers a good starting point for reflection upon the evolution of photography.
