In collaboration with Getty Image Gallery & Fahey/Klein Gallery, 10 Corso Como New York presents Beat Positive, a new exhibition of photographs that explores the dawn of hip hop culture, from 1981 to 1993. On view at the 10 Corso Como Gallery in Lower Manhattan’s Seaport District from November 21, 2019 through February  2, 2020 , the exhibition showcases iconic images from British photographers Janette Beckman and David Corio alongside never before seen material from the Getty Images archives, including images of a young LL Cool J, triptychs of The Fat Boys filming their ‘Jail House Rap’ video and the Beastie Boys in concert.

Using the four main elements of hip-hop – turntablism, MC’ing, graffiti writing, and breaking – as a jumping-off point, Getty Images Gallery Curator Shawn Waldron worked with Beckman and Corio to create a unique offering of limited-edition prints.
