Macro - Museum Of Contemporary Art Rome

As part of the preparation of MACRO ASILO, the new device designed by Giorgio de Finis for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, the visual artist Greg Jager, produced “Metamuseo”, a 100 square meter work that takes shape in foyer of the museum.
On Sunday 20 January at 6.00 pm in the MacRo cinema, in collaboration with RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, the visual artist will introduce himself to the public by telling his creative process, focusing on the avant-gardes of urban creativity, artistic production systems , dissemination and promotion of their work. The talk will be conducted by Renato Fontana, an expert in visual culture and an observer of all the relationships between communication and culture, art and media.

The artist, formed in the field of graffiti writing and visual art, has produced a 100 square meter artwork that harmoniously compares with the MacRo architectures, designing from the STUDIO ODILE DECQ. The project was born after two months of investigation on the museum spaces themselves and the graphic reinterpretation of the architectural concept based on the graphicization of some points of view of the body museum. The artwork follows the strict color scheme of the museum: black and gray for the lobby spaces and suspended paths, red for the auditorium and the cafeteria, white for the exhibition halls, many of which are found in the recovered volumes of the pre-existing factory.
Visual artist (born in 1982), constantly relies on abstract graphics with architectural contexts, making the spatial and material graphic sign, with the aim of displacing the viewer by making it immerse in an abstract dimension. The dialogue between graphic sign and architecture represents a constant theme of research and experimentation for the artist.
Communication and creativity consultant for brands, entrepreneurs (PPPattern), creator of cultural formats (Italianism) and university professor.
